Early Good-Bye - Another Continent

A couple weeks ago, I was informed by work that I need to pack up my stuff and move on to an assignment in the Middle East. I should be leaving by the middle of February and I'll be gone for anywhere from six months to a year. Just letting you know that I'll be off the internet for that time although I'll continue to visit until I actually have to leave.

I'd like to say thanks for all the great people here on dA who have shared their art and thoughts with all of us. I would also like to say an extra heartfelt "thank you" to two especially kind, supportive and friendly Deviants...you know who your are!

It´s sad to lose you for a while, so thank you for sharing your pictures and your opinions and last but not least your friendship. Maybe you are able to find some interesting motives in an other area and take many many pictures that you can show us when you´re back

Bernhard, many thanks for your support of my art. I don't take pictures to make a living, I take them for the love of nature and the love of the art of photography. You have been exceptionally supportive and I truly appreciate that.

I plan on taking a Nikon D40 to Iraq with me...who knows what will come of it. Some good photos possibly, or maybe it will just be an extra kilogram that I carry in my rucksack. We will see what happens. Thank you for everything, my friend.

I read this, last night and have been trying to figure out what to say. It's amazing the connections we can make, here, just by being ourselves, open and honest. I will definitely miss your art, your feedback and conversation. So, when you get back, I expect you to get yourself online and say hello, ASAP! We'll be thinking about you, while you're gone and watching for your return...

At a time when the pace of life has me so busy that I never have a chance to see the sun, your warmth and humanity brings tears to my eyes.
